Our STORY

Established in 2018, A Clutch Story is a Delhi based label that offers exquisite range of handcrafted Clutches and Potlis. The story of each piece starts with the conceptualization of the design which is then handmade by artisans who have mastered the art of crafting since ages using the highest quality materials and Embellishments. The USP of our products is that they are proudly handmade in India reviving India's rich heritage and Culture!

The label is the brainchild of Ms Sonal Wadhwa, an award wining Textile Designer from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). After gaining considerable amount of experience in the industry, Sonal decided to venture out on her own. Her Textile background helped her get started and her love for Accessories kept her going! She introduced her Karigars to new embroidery techniques and is constantly working on bringing in fresh elements to her designs.

I wanted to make use of my Textile knowledge to create something niche with a modern twist. I also had an urge to uplift the Craftsmen of India who create beautiful handwork in our country and provide them with a platform through my label. The idea germinated when I saw my mother carrying a local clutch to a party. I thought that people spend so much on their outfits, if they spend only 10% of that on their accessories, it would accentuate their look to a whole new level. That is when I decided to bring Indian artisans handwork in the hands of Indian women.
